Where AI is used

AI models classify incoming items, extract incident facts and draft original summaries from the headline and excerpt a publisher provides. Reports show an "AI-assisted" label and whether a human has reviewed them.

Limits

Drafts are generated from limited source text, so they use qualified language and say when details are not yet disclosed. Editorial confidence ratings are internal guides, not statistical probabilities.
